This chicken liver comes from healthy humanely treated chickens who live on organic pasture 100% of their lives. Animals at Miller's Organic Farm are never treated with hormones or antibiotics.

Liver is a very concentrated source of vitamins and minerals: Rich in vitamin A, B2, B6, niacin, folate, B12, iron, zinc, phosphorus, manganese and selenium.

The 10 years of research by Dr. Weston A. Price resulted in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration where he identified liver to be one of the most important "sacred foods", especially important during pre-conception, pregnancy, lactation and young children.

Summarized From
Why You Should Eat Liver (and, no, its not a storehouse for toxins)

FICTION: The liver is the body's filter. Its a storehouse for toxins.  Liver is too high in cholesterol to eat.

FACT: Liver neutralizes, but does not store toxins. Liver is one of the most concentrated sources of vitamins and minerals. Liver is extraordinarily nutrient dense and offers more folate and more minerals than does kale. Always source your liver from healthy, pasture-raised animals for optimal nutrient content. Dietary cholesterol is not the cause of high cholesterol, and not the cause of heart disease. Read these great books on heart disease and the cholesterol myth

The liver neutralize toxins that come into the body.  While the liver neutralize these toxins, they are not stored in the liver. If they cannot be eliminated through the body's waste functions, they're tend to be stored in visceral fat.
